Internship Proposal
The purpose of this internship was to address the lack of organizational knowledge that affects teachers’ ability to perform effectively. I used my understanding of organizational learning and instructional design to create an accessible, centralized hub of information to address the knowledge gaps reported by departmental members.
The internship project sought to address teachers’ needs through the development, design, and implementation of a digital learning hub. The learning hub was designed as a Canvas course, which is a CMS-supported learning management system (LMS). The digital learning hub serves as repository of organizational knowledge. It incorporates existing information from various organizational sources and provides a centralized space to house policies, procedures, and expectations that organizational members may easily access.

The purpose of this evaluation is to assess teachers’ ability to articulate and adhere to select policies, procedures, and expectations after utilizing the learning hub for several weeks.
Additionally, this evaluation explores participants’ satisfaction with the intervention platform. The evaluation will also determine the extent to which the intervention sufficiently addressed participants’ knowledge gaps.
Needs Analysis Plan
The needs assessment is a key component in the design process. This needs assessment focused on one department in an effort to identify gaps on a microscale. The results of the needs assessment informed the design, development, and implementation of the learning hub project.
